Exposing Information Literacy In Collegiate Football: The Art of Game Planning & Scouting Promo 2018

In our last showcase, the team at C.G. O’Kelly Library illustrated how sampled base Hip-Hop producers were demonstrating digital and meta literacies, but at its core – information literacy skills.

C. G. O’Kelly Library is back at it again, in this series, we are highlighting how collegiate (football) coaches are encompassing information literacy skills – to market and promote information literacy and library outreach efforts. Many people are not cognizant of the research, assessment and schematics that are immersed into creating a sound game plan for an opponent. The art of game planning, which encompasses many of the old ACRL Information literacy strands and combined with the new ACRL framework ideologies, is analogous to the many skills and competencies researchers, librarians and other critical thinkers exhibit. It is also the epitome of using information, digital and meta literacy skills at its optimum.
